Alanui

About

Alanui, a Milan-based luxury knitwear brand, was founded in 2015 by siblings Nicolò and Carlotta Oddi. The brand's distinctive aesthetic, described as nomadic and folk-chic, originated from a vintage cardigan Nicolò found at a flea market in Pasadena, California. Carlotta, then a fashion editor for Vogue Japan, loved the cardigan's versatility, inspiring the siblings to create their own line of unique, unisex, and seasonless knitwear. Initially focusing on oversized cashmere cardigans with Native American-inspired prints, Alanui gained significant recognition in 2017 after collaborating with Colette, a Parisian concept store, on a capsule collection. Since then, Alanui has expanded its offerings beyond cardigans to include a wide range of vibrant sweaters, jackets, shirts, beachwear, footwear, accessories, and even home furnishings, creating what the siblings envision as an "Alanui world." The brand now boasts men's, women's, and children's collections, each piece inspired by various cultures and designed to accompany the wearer on countless adventures.
